Why is it important to know your credit card provider?

A credit card provider is the bank that issues you your credit card.

Knowing your credit card provider can prove to be very important especially in case the credit card you have is a balance transfer credit card.

In case a user has two credit cards from the same provider, it is likely that they will not allow you to transfer your debt between them. This is more likely to happen if either of these credit cards provide 0% interest rate facility for a longer span of time.

Hence, if you want to transfer your debt, you need to make sure that the two credit cards you have are issued by two different providers.

In today market, there are many banks offering wide range of credit cards, but sometime it’s difficult to know which bank is behind the scene.

For example, Black Diamond credit card original provider is Vanquis bank.

Based on the customer support, service and reputation, you can choose the best one, and that’s why it’s important to know who is the actual credit card provider.

Another reason why you should know your provider is that there are a few companies who do not issue two credit cards of the same range to one user. As a result, applying for a credit card twice with the same provider increases the chances of rejection of your application. This may reflect badly on your credit score.
